Kira Smith is a photographer and designer from Ireland and Luxembourg, currently based in Madrid, Spain. Her work in photography explores the gestures and glances people share within the spaces they fill. She seeks to capture intimate yet fleeting connections between seemingly banal scenes and the people passing through them. Driven by a passion for storytelling, capturing these moments has become an instrument to delve further into her curiosity about her surroundings, allowing for life to unfold without interruption. Rooted in attention and patience, Kira's garments reflect an interest in the traces that people and clothes leave behind. Working with second-hand garments and leftover fabrics, she creates reworked and newly constructed pieces.
